Hi......... Very Happy

Big news today , the United States Post Office
will ask that mail be cut back to five days a
week, their 10 Billion Dollars in the red. It has
been stated that they receive no tax payers money
but survive on money from the public. Should it be
privitized so it can run better ? What is your opinion ?
I say yes, they should either be privitized or the Federal
government should take it over to fund it ...

I don't think it can be run better in changing times because people are using snail mail less and less often. Almost nobody writes personal letters any more. Christmas cards have slowed to a trickle. Alternative services like UPS and FedEx have taken over most the the parcel business.

I would have preferred a USPS that did get taxpayer money rather than one that charges so much for stamps that the product isn't viable.

Ditto. I'm pro post office but I hardly use it except for PaperBack Swap and holiday cards.
