Tiger Woods drives sales of physics book sky-high

A photograph showing a copy of Get A Grip On Physics by John Gribbin on the floor of Tiger Woods's wrecked SUV has seen the book rocket up Amazon's bestseller chart. It's been a terrible week for Tiger Woods, but the golf star's moment of madness at the steering wheel has brought a surge in sales for a book written by a science writer teaching at Sussex University.

Hey guys that is a great plan. Get you book into the hands of a celebrity and if by sheer folly something like this happens and the cops photograph your book...never mind.

What is intersting is that you never know what people are reading. Tiger Woods was reading a Physics book, who knew.

You need to write a book: "How to get your book in the hands of the next morality casualty."

Obtain suggestions of who the next casualty might be and then send them a copy of your book. Fortunately or unfortunately, I won't make that list.

But don't even think of selling your grandmother!!

I liked the article, especially some of the ideas put forth regarding physics.

Funny, but yet another example of how people's actions are influenced by celebrities. They'll buy Nike because Tiger was paid to tell them to buy Nike, they'll buy a physics book because they saw it in Tiger's car. For all they know, someone loaned it to him and he never read it.

I don't get it, but I don't have to get it. It just is. I guess the smart people make their money off this.

Tiger Wood's is an unprincipled man.

He needs privacy and will get it--probably more than he wants.
