Where have all the posters gone? Time is passing Where have all the posters gone? Some time ago Where have all the posters gone? Weren’t picked on by everyone When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn?
When will they all come back? Time is passing When will they all come back? Please don’t say no. When will they all come back? We miss you everyone When will you ever learn? When will you ever learn? |

| LOL! Abe, the posters have fled the nest. This happened last year. October 2008 (big election month!) was the lowest posting month ever since the forum was set up. Things picked up in November and December. Even so, the average number of posts per day in December 2008 was only 57.65. The average number of posts per day this month is 66.18. Nine more posts per day than during December last year.
Another surprising statistic -- this month saw the highest number of new threads started since the forum was set up: a staggering 279 new threads in the last 22 days! That's more than ten a day!
A personal disappointment for me was a request by a forum member to send a PDF file for me to read and write a review of the member's book. I started to read the book but the member who sent it has not posted on the forum since he sent the PDF. He has visited a couple of times recently but not made any posts.
Then there are those members who leave because they think that I have upset them. Unbelievable. |

| In fact, I was waiting for a chance to say "thank you" for researching little items that we leave out in our posts - a picture here, a quote there, a reference or resource. It seemed the Christmas book brought a flurry of new people, but guess there wasn't anything else here that they sought. One person posted that this was a chat club of people who met elsewhere and continued here. Okay. However, everyone looks forward to new members to spice up the conversations and introduce new thoughts. It doesn't mean those of us who've been around a while won't post about things we know from that time span. I post to a closed author's forum. Some of the authors there are in a writers' group. I feel on the fringes as they congratulate each other, share reviews and share blog interviews. Once in a while, I am included. That's their prerogative and their loss if I'm not included in the clique. I still benefit from all they share at the site. It's not an intentional slight; people are most comfortable with those they know the best. |

| Yes. a great song, Abe. New version of an old favorite. I have noticed, lately, that we always have several guests listed as watching. Hopefully some of them will get interested enough to stick around.

Much appreciated, Diane! I have made dozens of bookmarks for members of forums at no charge, including bookmarks for Sue Sunshine. I'll post Sue's here and Dick's. if anyone would like to print out a few of Dick's bookmarks and hand them around, I'm sure it would be appreciated. - dkchristi wrote:

It is a loss when people don't take advantage of those around them who would be more than willing to join in and share. Seeing the best in everyone brings out the best in oneself. |
