...run out of things to say, so post the same information on your blog that you've already posted weeks ago on a forum? Not a plug for your book. Maybe something personal like a visit to the dentist for the removal of a nagging tooth. Would you give the impression that something that happened weeks/months/years ago happened yesterday? Or, since you are posting the same story, would you admit that it happened a long time ago? How honest are you when you put information on the web?

I haven't had anything new to say for a while now, so my blog needs updating.

But when I do have a blog, I post the same one in all my different blog homes, as I have groups of readers from one website to another.

I like to keep things honest and up to date, although like Karina, I will post the same blog in a several places at the same time if I think it warrants it. But I would not fabricate or exaggerate the timing; simply introducing it as something that happened last month/year would usually suffice, unless you were actually writing a short story based loosley on fact and then you can tell it however.
For me, I already feel as though there has been so much go on that if I don't keep things honest, and by the time I get really old I won't know what's real or not! Very Happy

My blogs are all basically the same, but since it is more informational, I don't have to worry too much about repeating myself or staying in a certain time frame. If I wrote about my day-to-day existence, I would probably be in trouble!

I try to keep my blog about my writing, but of course that subject is slow at times. So I try to talk about everyday things, such as crane problems in my pond, or a movie I saw that I loved or hated. sunny

PostSubject: Do You post same articles to different blogs?   Do you... EmptyWed Apr 02, 2008 1:54 pm

I have several blogs that I haven't kept up because in another group they said you shouldn't post the same info to different blogs. Something about search engines. So I just quit blogging. I don't have the time to post different things to different blogs alllll the time. I love that copy and paste. *grin*Do you... 925501

Anyway, does anyone know for a fact whether it is wrong to post the same information or articles to different blogs? I belong to:

BeliefNet
MySpace
FaceBook
WordPress
Self-Growth.com
PNN
Yahoo 360
Also wanted to go to blogspot and another blog I can't remember the name of right now
And I wanted to add a blog to my own website

Any advice on this would be appreciated!

Also I try to keep my info up to date in an article or posting. If it has been some time ago I say so. I may not give exact dates but general so that there is no misunderstanding. To me, Honesty IS the best policy!

If you keep several blogs, I don't see how repeating yourself can be avoided. Different blogs, different groups of people reading those blogs, sometimes I guess you have to, right?

I basically have the same info on several blogs, but I do that because some people find me on different spaces and that's where they look for me and the info I put out. It is mostly my thoughts on abuse of all types, and I have gotten applause on each site, so I know they are being read by different folks. If my thinking is wrong, so be it. There are two sites where I push my book, and a couple that are strictly blog.

I think there are different demographics on the various sites, and I look to interest people who are not necessarily looking for books to read, as well as those who are.

I have to repeat post a little, so try to use the same blog but put them up at the same time, and then, as you have done Zada I may tweak a little to fit the demographic.
Mostly though, and particularly lately, I find it hard to shut up so I am chatting and writing all over the place...except tomorrow (which is today). It is just after 3 a.m. and I just finished a project. I am gonna sleep in tomorrow Sleep

Have a great rest, Pam. I have heard that one should post to their blog at least 2 or 3 times a week if not daily! Shocked
I just don't have the time or energy for that, so I just do the best I can. I figure some is better than none! Rolling Eyes
