Most normal people work for money. It seems that Writers work for the irritation of it.

They write and rewrite , look for publishers, promote their books, hate everyone who does not purchase read and say their book is better than best.

How long will this continue?

Just curious?

Alice..

Look at all the famous artists, movie stars
who are dead , their estates rake in $$$$$$$$$
So we have to think positive that some nutty
Hollywood Producer will see our books and go
ga ga over them and make us $$$$$$$$$$$$

Cheers.Joe

Dear Alice,
I write for the fun of it. I will never be famous, I will never be rich from writing little stories.

Joe, the chance of anyone ever latching onto Wooffer Stories is remote to say the least. Dusty iis another story.

Love,
Betty

Joe

Being rich and famous and dead is not appealing to me. Being alive is.

I prefer to be poor and unknown and alive.

I knew I wasn't a writer.

Betty,

You are so kind and loving.

Betty....Alice.. Very Happy Are Writers an Endangered Species? 995518

Put it this way, I'm not rich nor am I
famous , I have the Garbo syndrom,
shy in crowds....I'm happy I have written
three books soon a 4th will be published
at least I know someone will read them.
Betty, Alice, we try , we have stories to
tell and we tell them well that's what counts..

Love Joe.... Very Happy Are Writers an Endangered Species? 995518

Writers have been around since the dawn of mankind and will be at least until the sun sets on human kind.
But what we will be writing? God only knows?...............Most likely Oh sh** it's the end of the world!..............

I think you are right Carlisle, in many cases. I know having thanked my mom in the opening pages of Ghost Orchid (she's 90) is such a treat for her that she sent books to everyone she still knows.
