| Just out of interest what is your fav quotes? they can be from a music lyric, a book, from a speech or one that you have made up your self. They can be ones that you use in everyday speech or ones that you never think the situation would come up to use it. Some of my own favs are "What little there is between immortal perfection and eternal damnation." (slightly vain i grant you) "Most the pity." "A streak of blue light danced from the heavens to the mortal ground." "The last of her consciousness leaving her like the blood that wept from the wound in her neck." "The dawn of the night has arrived and i must bask in the absence of the light." "Your heart still beats it's dance of seduction."
Can't Wait to hear what your's are |

| DK, Ruby has been my favorite heroine for a few years now. For those not familiar with the book or film, she was the daughter of a "white trash" fiddler named Stavrod Thewes, who deserted her and left her to fend for herself and grow up alone, as best she could. She befriended and "saved" Ada Monroe, a pretty but helpless "flower" of pre-war southern aristocracy.
This is another or her delightful lines:
"We got our own story. Called Black Cove Farm: a catastrophe. I can spell it, too. Learned it the same place you did, in the school room. One of the first words they taught me: 'Ruby Thewes, you are a c-a-t-a-s-t-r-o-p-h-e!'"
This line comes from Maddy, another woman alone, living in the wilderness, a sort of "good witch" who saved the hero, Inman:
"See, I think there's a plan. There's a design for each and every one of us. You look at nature. Bird flies somewhere, picks up a seed, s**ts the seed out, plant grows. Bird's got a job, s**t's got a job, seed's got a job."

| Betty,
It's from Cold Mountain, the book I suggested a while back that you would probably enjoy reading.
The movie is almost as good, and is available on DVD, as well as showing up on the TV movie channels now and again.
