Thought you might enjoy seeing this matchbook cover from The Virginian Hotel in Medicine Bow. It towers over the remote and primitive community. We had lunch there at a table off by itself where Owen Wister wrote much of The Virginian. Nice hotel, horrible town.

Thanks, Dick. I've always wanted to go to Medicine Bow someday. In the meantime, this is very cool.

While driving across Wyoming we deliberately went out of our way to pass through Medicine Bow. The Virginian Hotel came as quite a surprise. A few years later Jackie's grandson moved there because of his job. Glad it was him and not me.
