| Who pounces out of bed before daylight each morning, filled with vim, vigor and vitality?
Do you have a thousand ideas a minute of what you want to do? Or is it more like a thousand minutes to think of one idea?
Just curious as usual? |

| I don't bounce out of bed. I get up slowly, have coffee, check out this messageboard and what has happened in the world overnight.
I am becoming a "being" person, going with the flow of life. This weekend my son and his family came and took out the pier. Tomorrow the boat goes in storage for seven months.
This summer we had 47 people stay at this cabin (not at one time!), including us, some while we were here and some while we were away. I call this my "make your own bed and cook your own breakfast." There is no maid service but we are orderly people and are the caretakers and I am the scheduler.
This weekend was wonderful. My autistic grandson came and we went for our annual trip to the used bookstore. After over an hour, we emerged with over 100 used books. My son assured me they would be read.
This was a fantastic summer. We went on a couple of trips, spent lots of time with family and their friends, and in the spring I met Alice and this summer Marie.
I have few ideas these days, only take what comes for me to do. We have more traveling in October and nothing in November. Then I will write.
Life is good. I love it.
Love, Carol |

| Thanks Marie and Carol, Marie, Sounds like you are busy.
Carol, CHANGE YOUR AVATAR. Funny as it sounds, I was reading your reply and had Brew on my mind. I had barely glanced at your picture.
When I read about your son, I thought "I didn't know Brew had a son."
The autistic grandson stopped me in my tracks.
I looked at your avatar and said ''Carol not Brew!"
Maybe I didn'' wake up this morning? |

| The writing urge hits me often when I awake. But a thousand things (like my day job) get in the way. Then tired after dealing with the mundane and pushing back the tide of a thousand things I get to put pen to paper. Yes I do often write by hand. I find it easier sometimes to release the flow of my imagination that way. Saying that though, I am slowly getting better at typing my thoughts as they come so I may yet retire my pen and employ the old keyboard on a more permanent basis.
So what of the boundless energy first thing in the morning? Well these days that gets consumed by the early morning sprint to the bathroom for ..... aaaagh.....(a pee)! |

| I used to wake up eager to get to the newspaper and start working. Now I just wake up. |

| When Alice says do something I do it!!!
That photo was taken a few weeks ago at the Cow Chip Festival.
One of my greatest accomplishments has been growing hair, and it is mysteriously curly gray hair!

| Noone could have had near the fun I did today. Today I got up and dragged my lazy self out of bed. I had slept terribly last night--why? Our beloved son-in-law was entering the hospital today for radiation. He and our daughter were duly warned and advised by everyone what to do and not do. The doctor gave his recommendation and they followed it. I wrote to our son-in-law upholding their decision. then I wrote to our daughter. Dave was to have lunch wth his retired friends and I needed to get ready for the road trip we are going on tomorrow. I drove our Prius aound and managed to turn the hazzard lights on--couldn't for the life of me figure out how to turn them off. Finally at Fred Meyer, I spied a man and said," Could you please turn my lights off--I cannot figure out how to do it." It took him a bit, but he did it. I was looking for washable, size 9, wide shoes for my mother-in-law. Fred Meyer did not have them. I drove to Nordstrom--a much more relaxng drive without my lights blinking, ate lunch, went to the shoe dept. then roared, "I need size 9, wide, machine washable shoes. I am not drunk I have had brain surgery." My roar was barely audible. Finally they heard, got me the shoes and I parted with over $100.00 then drove home. I am so tired. I think I will sleep in tomorow. |

| What a laugh, Alice! I never knew that parting with $100 could be such fun! Dick finished off my day nicely; he ran over me with a train! ... but I just keep popping back. (Dick thinks I am about to ask a favour. The very idea.) |
