| I can finally come back to the land of the living now. I put the manuscript in the mail to the agent this morning. Just about blew my hands and shoulders out on this one...very intense, daily hours on the computer. Three months from word one to word 86,000 plus. Whew. Wine for me. Ice for my shoulder. Collapsing in a heap. One more... WOO-HOO!! |

| Will it come back for more edits or reading an editor's work on it? It always seems to me it's never quite done even when it goes into the mail........it keeps coming back in some form. Even the final book leads to updating everything on the Internet - more writing....... |

| Woo-Hoo it is. That's better than Boo-Hoo. DK is right. There's always tweeking and promotional requirements, however it means things are progressing and that calls for more Woo-Hoos, or even some Yaa-Hoos. |

| I agree... I think it is a lot like holiday shopping. You never really finish, you just stop at some point. Today, I'm working in the yard for a change of pace. |

| I know the feeling, Rhett, but for me it is also kinda depressing - maybe the closest a man can come to post-partum blues, or sending your child out into the big cruel world, and the marketing is like sending that child money.
The only recourse is to begin the next book... |

| Rhett now relax, put your feet up while that manuscript makes it's journey to your agent. Your little grey cells will recharge after all that excertion and inspiration will start to flower in your imagination. Then you will no doubt start mulling over a new idea or two. A writer never ceases working really, as there is always that next book in the pipeline. I hope success finds you this time. |
