A German news broadcast talked about the latest technology dealing with fabrics. Water will not penetrate this new fabric.

Examples:
For bathing suits, when you come out of the water, the suit is dry.
For regular wear, any spot or stain is rinsed off with water since the stain will not penetrate the fabric.
It will prevent bacteria from entering the textile.
A shirt will not need ironing. The wrinkles will fall away with body heat.

This new technology was inspired by examining nature. Lilly Pads that float on water. A spider’s web that is stronger than steel with the same density.

I'm sure there will be more reports about this in the near future.

Nature can teach us many things if we take time to look and listen. That new material sounds like a winner. Wish it had come along about 75 years ago.
