They can buy your book from third party sellers who sell "through" Amazon.com, but not directly from Amazon.com - at least that's how I understand it.

Seems a shame DK, as Amazon would be the first choice for most folks wanting to buy our books.

Well looking on the bright side, they haven't embargoed Amazon.co.uk - not yet - fingers crossed.

Sorry, Abdul, I should have explained about the buttons. DK is right, US residents can buy your first book through Amazon Markeplace.

My buy button is back! Guess it's in time for the price game with PA.

I bought one of my hard copy editions when I could get it for half price, plus shipping came to $18.95.

The jacket is off center. As soon as I opened the covers, the stuck insides broke loose in the gutter with little ragged pieces of paper.

The actual print and the actual print paper is very high quality! Even the jacket design (like the book) is beautiful. If they could have just centered it on the cover....and if the hard cover had been stuck to the insides without the leftover glue coming unstuck when I opened the book.

Worst of all, though, is the uncentered cover jacket. Otherwise, I might have picked up a few more at their most recent 65% off. I guess the black hard cover is okay - but it's the jacket that draws you to the book.

I'm glad others have had better luck with the hard covers. I can see the reason for the shipping cost; my book weighs a ton.

Return the book--sounds defective to me.

I'll have to pay to ship it back; and then they might not take it back anyway (from what I've heard from other people).

Tell them it is defective.
Ask for an exchange if they won't work with you--deny payment --if you got it on a credit card.

I'm on Smashwaords ! I had to change the cover
I remember in my agreement they said I couldn't use the
original cover ! I created a new one, for my first book I have
to re-create that one...Check it out let me know what you

Hardcovers created another level of excitement for us all. I ordered two copies of each of my books, and all four arrived in good condition back in August.
