Wednesday it hit 95 degrees here, and Thursday (yesterday) it hit 99 degrees. Yesterday afternoon was hot and windless until around 6:30 when it dropped to 65 degrees, the wind came up and we got a little blessed rain. Of course, the wind was accompanied with sprinkles of blessed rain. In Seattle, it stormed, blew down trees in areas and many are without phones and power due to downed trees. They have my sympathies, but it sure is nice to have the cooler air here.

I feel for you, Zada. Temperatures like 95 and 99 are not suitable for humans.

Actually Dick, I used to hate the heat. Anything over about 75 degrees. I did fairly well this time, though, and the heat did not seem to bother me like it used to. Perhaps my system is changing. That type of heat used to turn me into a puddle!

Zada, just a few short years ago, a former president said that the school was still out on global warming. I guess he was simply "out of school." Temperatures are rising from previous norms. Before too long, winters vacations may be spent in the north. Instead of Canadians buying winter homes in Florida, Floridians will be buying homes in Canada.

Don't spend the winter here, Abe. We have been getting record snow levels and longer spans of frozen weather. Maybe Canada would be better!

There is one school of thought that I have heard which is predicting a mini-ice age. Supposedly we have had many of them through the ages.

The dinosaurs probably ate all the foliage and let the sun reach areas that had not seen the sun before!

Zada, you are right. The weather is becoming extreme, both hot and cold. Maybe we'll all have to move to Ohio where it becomes more of a middle ground. Do you think Dick would find us accommodations?

We've had rain here for a good few days now, and today it's become so cold I had to turn the central heating on. So far, this month of June has turned out to be another unseasonably wet one, and I fear we may be in for another rainy summer...

It cooled off here, then started to heat up again. Our rain was short lived, and it has been unseasonably warm so far. We will have to wait and see if the year is going to be a scorching summer with another bunch of snowy winter months. We have been setting records in both directions this past year.
