A Current WIP Empty
PostSubject: A Current WIP   A Current WIP EmptyMon Mar 09, 2009 9:33 am

FYI, I've posted the first chapter of the book I mentioned on Ahad's thread - the one about there maybe being other earth-type planets. It seems a bit synchronistic that Ahad posted his thread so shortly after I found myself getting turned on again by this older, unpublished work about a human from another earth-like planet coming to Earth. For about a week now, I've been working hard on the revisions, and am getting quite excited about how it is coming along.

I hope you will wish me luck.

Of course I wish you luck, Ann. A bit of luck coupled with your talent... how can you fail!

I began a sci-fi nearly twenty years ago and still work on it every
once in a while. The first thing I did was to edit and re-write that
which I wrote back when I hadn't learned to write dialog effectively.
In twenty years though, some of what I had written as sci-fi has come
to pass. Dang it...

I hear you. The weirdest things started happening just as I was finishing the first version of the book. One, at the corner of Louetta Road and Champion Forest Drive, where Maggie sat waiting for the light, an Irish Pub ooened. It was called Molly Malone's though, not Briny Devlin's.

And in the second chapter of Book One, Maggie interviews a woman who is one of the top executives for a computer company called CONVAC. Just months after I finished, construction started on a new computer center in NW Houston for real. It was called COMPAC.
