PostSubject: When Santa Claus gets old   When Santa Claus gets old EmptyThu Dec 25, 2008 7:12 am

Old Man Time affects our wishes and desires, but it has been a Merry Christmas here in the Western Reserve Territory. As mentioned elsewhere on this board, I received a cane made especially for lefthanders and a bunion brace. What more could a man my age ask for? I gave Jackie a portable hand truck so she can move heavy stuff around more easily. I try to be thoughtful like that.

You are the true gentleman. I refused to buy my wife anything for Christmas this year because she didn't use what I bought her last year.

I spent all that money on a graveyard plot and she wouldn't use it. Now that's ungrateful.
In case you haven't noticed I'm stalking you.

I thought it was Christmas Day but it turns out it's Ground Hog Day!

My husband gave me an ipod show, and now we are trying to figure it out and already had a little argument about the whole thing.

I gave my husband Dick's book about the Hoosier Hotshots and he has already read a few chapters and likes it. He had a band a few years ago and can relate and likes all the extras Dick put in there.

I also gave him a globe program for his computer. It is beautiful and shows our earth from many angles. It kind of reminds me of years ago when man landed on the moon around Christmas time, when pictures of our earth from afar were sent and people got emotional about the whole event.

Dick figures out a way to make it easier for Jackie to move things around. Very, very thoughtful.

Shelagh's picture of the ground hog is interesting. I don't know if he is ready to defend or to assault. Could be a new fighting force in the making.

I think the groundhog is dead, therefore no threat.

Merry day after Christmas everyone! I like to keep the festivities going all week!

Christmas day was wonderful--spent with my 2 kids and my daughter's boyfriend, who arrived with champagne and orange juice. Lots of great gifts filled the living room.

Our weather in Massachusetts finally warmed up and the rain washed away a lot of the snow. Curt's flying in from Detroit tonight, and we get to have our Christmas together all week!

I'm so grateful to have you all as friends!

Love,

Helen

Dick,

My husband spent the last two hours surfing the internet finding info on the Hoosier Hotshots. I had to watch them sing and play, "My Girl Friend Broke My Heart in Three Places." Tom thinks he saw them in person once. He is enjoying your book.
