Product Labels

These are quotes from actual product labels I found in a book I have:

"Caution: Hot beverages are hot!"
"Do not put lit candles in the phone"
"Do not eat iPod shuffle"
"Never use a lit match or open flame to check fuel level"
"Remove label before placing [the bottle of champagne] in microwave"
"Do not use [the toliet plunger] near power lines"
"[the frisbee] May contain small parts"
"[cat litter is] Safe for use around pets"
"You cannot save the world"

Product labels.
 
Where I live, labels on products are mandatory.  They not only list ingredients, but also the origin.  Then there is the ever-popular “Bio” label.  In the States I think it is labeled as “Organic”. 
Eggs are either labeled “Bio” or more popular and less expensive is “Freilaufende” meaning that the eggs come from “free-roaming” chickens.  They are preferred to eggs from caged birds.
At the fresh meat counter, chicken meat may also indicate from “Freilaufende Huhner" (free-roaming hens).
 
When we were grocery shopping this past week, I saw a label that read “Freilaufende Salami”.  I broke out laughing.  In my mind I visualized a roll of salami with little feet.  My wife looked at me wondering why I was laughing.  I pointed to the sign.  She started laughing.  As we stood there laughing other customers looked at us curiously wondering why we were laughing.  I pointed to the sign and they broke out laughing also.  Before long customers from other aisles came to see what was so funny.  The laughter was contagious.  A bunch of happy shoppers evidenced by their smiles continued shopping.  
I’m guessing that the producers were able to use that label in that the meat came from free-roaming animals.  It was certainly an attention getter.
