The Fault in the Stars Empty
PostSubject: The Fault in the Stars   The Fault in the Stars EmptyWed Jun 25, 2014 9:12 am

I give up.  Fame and fortune have nothing to do with writing a good book.  I just heard a thorough review of the movie and book by Green - and it was pretty much that this was a formula book written for the purpose it accomplished with very little plot, and if it had any redeeming value, it was bringing attention to Cancer.

The review reminded me quite a bit of our own SLB who gives stinging reviews now and then.

Yet on this book Green has gained fame and fortune.  Go figure.

I mean I give up on fame and fortune.  I am compelled to write and publish.  Perhaps I will be discovered yet.  I have Bamboo Ring, Caribbean Odyssey and a reprint of Ghost Orchid ready for publication, in the publishing line at two small presses. After seeing what Green has done to promote his own books and movie with a traditional publisher, authors must promote regardless of who places their seal on the books.  I also have some short stories I may enhance to novellas.

I will not leave this earth without releasing the words that want to be written. Whether anyone else wants them remains to be seen.

Besides, I already live in the computer.  The rest of my life simply supplies that one.
