If you have a favorite Indie book store, have them apply. Very few in Florida applied. In all of Naples, Bonita springs and Fort Myers we only have big box book stores except for a few used nooks here and there.
The Check Is in the Mail: Patterson Sends Over $267,000 to Booksellers
This week author James Patterson mailed out the first installment of his $1 million pledge to help booksellers. He sent checks totaling more than $267,000 to 54 bookstores across the country plus the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association to support California Bookstore Day. The grants range from $2,000 to $15,000. In most instances, bookstores got what they requested; a few got even more. more »
