My "new" poetry book now available.

Actually, it's a reprint with a couple of new ones, but hey....

In fact, a reader on another forum commented on the poem "Fuse", which can be read on the excerpts page and was written like 30 years ago, as being very timely topical. And thinking about it, I guess it really does have more to do with the current situation.

Anyway, it's out on adoro books, which is moving into poetry and planning some aggressive experiments that go really well with my long-held opinion that poetry needs to be snatched back away from the constipated academics and made a staple of peoples lives the way it used to be.

I missed this somehow Lin -- first of all congratulations on getting the book out to the world. Secondly, I love this paragraph. I'm crap when it comes to writing poetry (I have a hard time saying things in such a succinct way), but I love what you say about it here. I was at a writer's gathering on Saturday and they read some poetry there, handed out awards and so on. It was outstanding - not the event so much as what people read.

"Fuse" certainly is timely as well as retroactive. On a literal level, the opening lines brought to mind the farm fields where the Battle of the Somme was fought in 1916. Nearly a hundred years later the French army bomb disposal units are called there every spring when farmers plowing uncover unexploded shells.
