Many of the things we try to accomplish seem to be a struggle. Oftentimes challenges arise when we try to something good. I have struggled with the challenges of life. Right now there is much debate on how best to live. This is really what it boils down to. This national health care system is hotly debated. Obviously, it is going to help people. It will also hurt people. In a republic not everyone will be happy because we do what the majority wants and not what everyone wants. My family's personal health care costs are going up in 2014. How much is not important. My personal feeling is that the national healthcare system coming online may have something to do with this increase (I'm sure it does), but I'm equally positive the cost would increase anyway because these companies must pay their executives and pad their pockets. People can say this country is heading on a path toward socialism, but my belief is capitalism is always going to reign in America. It is deeply entrenched.
Not everything has to be negative, however. I have a faith that this country is going to be okay. We have in us the ability, the drive, the know how, the desire, the commitment to make up for the things that divide us. It is my belief we're after the same goals. We may pursue different paths to reach these goals based on personal ideologies, philosophies or even religious beliefs, but the endgame is the same. There should be opportunity for everyone. I have faith that there is.
