I need a easy to follow "WordPress for Dummies." I know there is a ton of stuff on line but I'd like to hear/see some firsthand user preferences. Thanks!

Have you been to this site? I found it helpful. Like DK, I've tried to keep it simple and learn slowly.

There actually is a "Wordpress for Dummies" book. I'm looking at it on my shelf now. It's better than any online tutorial I've found, although it's not great -there is nothing "dummies" about any of the Dummies books. And I get irritated at the cutesie comments and jokes.

Wordpress is not simple software despite the developers' claims to the contrary. I have a Wordpress blog at work and have often asked the tech help people there for, well, tech help with it.

Personally, I've found the "for dummies" series to be valuable sources.

Jodie foster sent her close friend, Russell Crowe, a copy of Sailing for Dummies while he was preparing for his role in "Master and Commander." He said it was often more useful than the technical books he was studying.

Some years ago I bought a Volkswagen Rabbit, only to have it struck by lightening about 6 months later. There was always something else going wrong with it.

A friend gave me An Idiot's Guide to the Volkswagen Rabbit for Christmas, along with a portable oil can spout and a can of carrot juice. ( same basic concept)

My mechanic got so tired of me bringing it in to show him something he hadn't been able to figure out, he bought a copy for himself.
