Utilize online review services

There are a few good online review services out there such as kirkus review and power reviews. I think they are pretty expensive, close to $500. I know hotshotreviews.com does book reviews for $40 bucks. They do not guarantee it will be a positive review, but they allow you to read it before its posted. So if it is bad you can deny it if you want.

Free reviews are more meaningful.

i personally prefer readers reviewing my work.

paying for having your book reviewed doesn't feel right.

I paid only once for a review and will not do it again. Unsolicited reviews are the best.
Anyone reading a review that was done by a review service expects it to be positive. They also expect it to be partial.

paying for reviews sounds like bribery actually.
