PostSubject: server shutting down?   server shutting down? EmptySat Oct 13, 2012 12:01 pm

Is it my computer, or is there a problem with connecting today. I keep getting a "no such site" sort of message. I am really learning the importance of copying my post before I hit "send." Laughing

I've shifted from Google Chrome to Firefox and back again, but keep getting the same message. So far, it has never lasted more than a minute or so.

Still having the problem. It seems to be getting worse. I've used every browser and search engine - it doesn't seem to be my computer.

I have to keep hitting the try again button - over and over. It will finally come up. I know at this point that I need to copy this reply, because, more often than not, when I hit send, it happens again.

The search engines tell me no such site exists.
And, yep. It happened again - this time from Safari

No. It's only this site, and it happens on every search engine and browser.

dunno... zero issues here... did you try clearing your browser history, or have you changed your security settings recently?

Any techies here who know more about this stuff than I do?

Huggles,
Katja

It's every browser, Katja, and no I haven't changed settings. Besides, it always comes back after I hit the button several times over.

No other site - just this one.

This site is often slow to load because of the number of ads, but the messages I'm getting all say that the site does not exist. I keep trying, and eventually it come back, but if I try to post and hit send, most of the time it happens again. After the first couple of times today (I've been somewhat prolific Rolling Eyes ) I started copying before I send.

I'm always logged in - except for the first time I switched to Safari, because I never use that browser.

Did it again. The page didn't reload until the 10th try.

Me, too, Ann. Maybe Forumotion is switching servers -- companies do.

That's a relief. Sorry you have the problem, too, but at least I'm not going bonkers in my dotage. server shutting down? 733985

Not me; my problem is with Yahoo - and that terrifies me because it's my "filing cabinet," fool that I am. If yahoo goes, I'm out of the writing business.
