How about a category under “Society” for “Politics” like the one for “Religion”?
A place for those that wish to get on their soapbox and preach their political beliefs, can.
A place for those that wish to read the transcripts of those preachings and profess them to be the only truths, can.
A place where those that don’t wish to discuss politics, can avoid it without having to sort through the ramblings at
neusium in the “Chatter Box”.

Just a thought.

Good idea, Don. On the other hand, there are so many things we do that is related to our political situation and it would be difficult to separate them.
The news in general most often relates to our politics whether it be Syria, Lybia, Israel, Iran, China, etc. Our economy is tied to the M.E. for oil and with China for exports/imports not to forget the money owed.

As for the American election, the process will soon pass. Until then, the news is full of the Crap thrown both ways. It is an important election. The world is watching. How to isolate politics is difficult as the rammifications affect us all.

That's quite a collection of books, Don. Congratulations. I have noticed that when stuff appears in Chatter, many people respond. When it is posted in other categories, it seems to languish there.

Yes, it is a good selection of books. I read all of them more than once. I highly recommend them.

Like I said, it was just a thought.

Doesn't this fall under "Current Events"?

You're right, the news is full of this crap and I for one am tiered of reading it over and over, then I come over here to relax and have to sort through it again to read about something else to get away from it for awhile. I know it's important, but I for one am fed up with it dominating every corner of my life!

I guess I can go live in a cave until after Thanksgiving!

God Bless

Give me an address for the cave Don and I'll join you, unless you prefer to be alone.

Abe,

You're probably one of the few people I'd share it with. We could hibernate and just write!

Obviously it's a "man cave," but that's okay. Whatever adds to the great books you gentlemen have already completed.

Since I am actively engaged in the Democratic process by entering data in their system based on canvas questions, I am staying quite aware of the nuances of change until the election. I do like my thoughts challenged, though, by people who think differently.

Careful how you throw that "gentlemen" around, I have a reputation to live up too!

It doesn't necessarily have to be a "Man Cave", feel free to come on in!

There are only three rules upon entrance:

Rule 1. It's my cave!
Rule 2. No political or Religious discussions allowed!
Rule 3. If any questions about the rule 2, refer to Rule 1!

Agreed Don. DK would be welcomed on my end, but I refer to Rule #1.
