Please forgive my ignorance, but is anyone familiar with the term "authentic review?" Is a review less "authentic" if the reviewer is known to the writer or publisher? Just curious.

Thanks!

Professional book reviews are not written from a personal point of view; they are all about the book. Reviewers do not offer opinions about likes and dislikes; instead, they focus on the book's strengths and weaknesses.
