| Great article. Too bad about the poison ivy! But a really nice piece of writing came out of it, along with a cleanly swept trail. |

| Agree with LC. Although I enjoyed your article, I can't agree that getting poison Ivy has a benefit. I was plagued with it when I was a kid and the reaction left me swollen and miserable. Only my grandfather had a cure and that was to eat some of the Poison Ivy leaves before touching it. Although it worked, it is not something I would recommend. The thought that something could go wrong is scary.

| One addition to treatment of the poison. I was given all the remedies available, i.e., Calamine lotion that made me look like a pink panther and baking soda to keep the sores from running. It helped with the itching but didn't cure. Old Doc Huff recommened that I rub myself with my own urine. He said it must be your own and no one elses. That worked. It may sound ugly, but it works. Just stay away from people after it is applied - at least until the smell subsides. |

| I enjoyed both blogs and it was a nice thing to see Dick respond about the chiggers. Diane, for people who are alergic to poison ivy there is a shot that clears it up right away. If you can find a walk in clinic that is still open today, go get the shot. Instant relief. Abe, I heard about a guy that tried that eating the ivy leaves. He almost died because his throat, lips, whole mouth swell with blisters. Like Diane, I get the rash if I just look at the stuff. Hurry, Diane! Go the a clinic today. Love, Betty |
