Yemen in chaos..

Chaos in other Arab nations, Saudi Arabia trembling, afraid
it'll reach them... Hope the USA doesn't get envovled !

Some of your posts make it sound like you are a cheerleader for revolution and want to see the leadership of all Arab countries fall. Be careful what you wish for. In some instances these dictators provided stability simply because they ruled with an iron hand. Many in the West think that democracy is the answer to all problems. I don't. In many countries with a dictatorship, they take care of their people providing jobs (security). In the West it is often called socialism. When the people suddenly find they must fend for themselves, they have a change in attitude. Democracy is not something that can be implemented overnight. A change in thinking, education, are the first steps to lasting change. Having something thrust upon a people who have no idea what it means, is not a formula for success.
We fought a Gulf War in support of existing dictatorships. The cost in lives was a high price to pay and exceeds the cost in money. What was gained?
We're fighting a war in Afghanistan - killing people. What about fighting a war against ignorance? How much money are we spending on education? Spending money on books and teachers would help save lives and bring stability. Killing means more killing with inevitable acts of revenge.

There are no easy answers. I hate war. Killing is a temporary solution. Spreading love instead of hate is what our country with "In God we Trust" implies. The USA, a Christian Nation? I believe the word needs some clarification. Is Christianity New or Old Testament? "Eye for an Eye" is Old testament. Forgiveness, love, tolerance and peacemaking is New Testament. What or who is our God? Is our God called Money? Is our God a God of hate or of love?

I don't know who coined the slogan, "Make Love not War", but it is a good slogan.

I only report what I read , dictators are cruel and inhuman.
many people have suffered under them...I'm not a revolutionist..
I do believe it's strange that this is spreading from one country
to the other, I wonder if Iran has it's hand in it ?
