I am happy today. My 90 year old mother- in- law is dong well recovering from her second broken hip in 4 monthes.

She worked as a nurse until she broke the first hip at 89.
She is very remarkable and I am so glad to be related to her.

Are you happy about anything?

Yes ! Trying to find out how to scan my slides ( 35 Yrs Worth )
some are awesome photography taken on Kodachrome 35MM
slide film, want to use them for my art site..

Part time and in charge of the dining room at a Nursing home. She is in rehab at the same place now.
She has her LPN license and used to be a surgical nurse.

Shotcopy.com: At sixty bucks I think you'd be disappointed. A Camcorder does not make a high-resolution still image.

I think you'd be happier with a slide scanner. And for not much more $.

2. I finished converting another of my computer programming books to kindle and ipad format and got a reversion of rights so I can publish it.
   
3. A luminary in the world of ventriloquists has agreed to write a foreword on my new book on ventriloquism.

Me, I just finished going over the latest batch of proofs, woohoo! Over 100 pages. Uploaded them to the publisher site and the rest of the day is mine. Until Monday, when I'm sure I'll get some more. They'll go faster though, because my editor just sent me and the production manager an edict: no more changes. Guess I pushed the limit. lol

I received a note from my publisher that "The View from the Balcony," a short story, will be published soon in Romance of My Dreams II, an anthology of ten romance stories, in time for release before Valentine's Day. It's time to get something new on the market. Combined with Forever Travels, that's two anthologies with short stories in them this year. Every bit helps and keeps me writing. I am grateful and happy for the opportunities I have had in this fickle arena and the support from author colleagues along the way.

I'm beginning by sending queries to editors at big ol' NY dead tree publishers. If that doesn't work out, I'll look for an agent. If that doesn't work out, I'll try small publishers. Otherwise I'll self-publish.

Some more good news. I checked Issuu today and found that Literature & Fiction Volumes I & II had been viewed 705 times. Then I checked Smashwords and found that the volumes had been downloaded 468 times. Finally, I checked Slideshare and saw that the combined number of views is 1,537 (I somehow uploaded the first volume twice so the views are split):
