Very elegant! It appears you had it professionally done? For once a trailer that actually leads the viewer to the book.....congratulations.

Everyone tells me I should be able to make my own trailer; but every time I try it looks cobbled together. I want one that flows like yours.

Thanks D.K and thank you Abe.

DK,

The trailer was done by Ghost Writer Extraordinaire. Write to info@gwextra.com it takes about two to three weeks to make. They send you a draft and then you decide whether it is to your liking.

They have a varied range in terms of cost based on what level of distribution you desire. The max is $99 for platinum.

I know if you go to them you will get excellent service.

Thanks again for you kind words

Warm Regards

Leslie

That's nice, and thanks for the info about who made it for you.

Can you tell us about your experiences with the publisher, Authorhouse? I did a search here and found no references to them.

Thank you Al,

Authorhouse were indeed very reliable. I had a turn around time of about a month from submission i.e. getting the book published and visible on amazon. Authorhouse also allocate a marketing consultant who you can turn to for support when marketing your book. (I think here we turn to do most of the work ourselves) Again the prices depend on what you desire.

Mind you I had to pursue the avenues for the trailer and reviews on my own. Although I think they offer this service too.

Leslie

So, is Authorhouse a publisher to whom you pay a fee in order to get published? Or are the fees just for the extra services? I can't seem to find any information on their website abou their business model without first signing up as an author.

My experience with looking at Authorhouse is that it has several imprints and it is a print for fee company that charges according to the services rendered. Some of their imprints that they purchased have had some bad press in the past. Like any vanity press, they have authors whose work is exceptional and those who are mediocre. I have looked at their books at book festivals and found them professionally bound, nice format and no glaring errors from a quick skim of contents. I am not familiar with their fee structure, their distribution or their royalties.

Can't add anything to DK's reply, she covered it all.

Thanks
