| Well, cool. They sure have neat covers.
Not that I'd judge by that, but, well, you know... |

| BTW
I look at Samhain and they, like several other Romance presses, have a Gay/Lesbian section...but just gay male books. Same with the others I've seen.
Is there a line of lesbian romance somewhere?
Just curious. |

| Thanks for the head's up Jenny. They do have great covers, lin! Maybe no one is writing lesbian slanted books right now. |

| Jenny, from what I read, it is still restricted. It wants romance and/or science fiction heavy in romance. |

| Jenny, based on your information, I sent an inquiry to Samhain. Here is their response: Dear Mr. March, Thank you for considering Samhain Publishing for your work. As you may have heard, Samhain has recently changed our direction in the type of manuscripts we are focusing on and are now only accepting romances as well as science fiction/fantasy/urban fantasy with a strong romance element. At this time, your manuscript does not fit within our new focus due to its genre of Mainstream Fiction as listed in your query letter and manuscript. We appreciate your submission and invite you to submit future works that meet our requirements. Thank you, Marty Mathews Samhain Publishing, Ltd [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Lin, Torquere Press publishes lesbian romance. Here are their submission guidelines: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.](however, I think they are mainly e-books) |

| At least I know they do actually READ their submissions.
I sent them several chapters and the rejection I received was nice, and it was clear they had read it.
Actually, they gave me a specific reason why they didn't accept it. (And they did call my writing 'very lovely'.)
You know what? Their reason was completely valid and I was able to improve my first couple of chapters.
I just may resubmit to them. |

| Thanks, Elflet. I am aware of Toqquere. And I think they do paperbacks, actually.
It's nice to get something back from the query targets, huh? |
