Casting aspersions can for awhile
Relieve the anxiety of fear -
the opposite of love
(I have heard hate)

but yet, I believe that hate is
based on fear
(as a very wise man has recently here
said)

Polar opposites:
Fear and love

One cannot love
a thing
that one is

afraid of...
And so, the fear becomes anxiety
which becomes hate..

We fear what we cannot control
But in reality it is only
ourselves we can control
All else is illusion –

images we create
from those own fears
which we disown.

What we fear most in ourselves,
we see in the others. And so -
we move the fear outside
ourselves so that
it becomes

the Other

which we cannot recognize
as being us.

As the Wise Possum once said,
“We have met the enemy and he is us.”
