Poetry? Empty
PostSubject: Poetry?   Poetry? EmptyMon Mar 31, 2008 5:36 am

Black Rose Writing is currently open for submissions!

We are also looking for poetry donations for our upcoming Black Rose Poetry Book (a compilation piece featuring poetry from many great authors including 3-Time Grammy Winner, Jeremy Lubbock).

We are not paying royalties on the poetry book, but the author retains copyright and can use the poem again, no obligations. Any advertisement or ventures that come from the book, our authors are free to pursue.

We do, of course, pay royalties on all other submitted work, higher than publishing house standard.

Thank you for your time and feedback,

Reagan Rothe

Belated four year message. I liked this one most of all because it calls forth a readership. It's titled "Calling."

Which way shall I take the course to my reader’s hearts,

What scale and tools do I collect with,

What voyeur’s wrap I claim in readiness.

Are the ages of my father come to bear,

Or will be for next generation’s benefit:

And for sure hope luck to smile a lot,

Unless I weaken in devotion,

That I harbor this pretext,

Where course is subject to a wanton age.

Gather, flock with us; examine all to beyond:

Valiant person have surpassed our time.

Perhaps you should become acquainted with your company's own guidelines; they specifically state:

1.Currently NOT accepting poetry.
