How is his wife? I miss him. He was an exceptional talent. His stories always touched my heart and often brought a tear. I remember them long after. He was kind enough to read my Ghost Orchid before publication and provide some kind comments. He was wise also.

This forum kept some of us together - and the losses of those we came to appreciate and admire are also something we share. They are part of this forum still.

Dick made a lasting impression on many. I feel fortunate to have made his acquaintance. I treasure the autographed copy of his book. His spirit lives.

Abe, you are right. Dick was a genuine person. He never comprimised his integrity. I always love that. You are like that, too. I love you dearly.

Ann, I read this story again this morning.
Was this a classic Twilight Zone story? I cannot remember.

I have often thought about mankind being the hunted. I imagine that wars are the epitome of that, only regulated and condoned by governments and without the thrill of the hunt that this story envisions.

Love,
Betty

I think it was on twilight zone, or maybe one of the old live tv dramas.

I mostly remember it from the old sophomore lit books when I was teaching.
