| How did he do in Egypt? Was President Obama's pitch spot on, slightly off or way off beam? |

| I didn't hear it, but if Obama said it--I like it.
I like him, his wife and his children. I have never heard anything come out of his mouth I didn't like.
So without hearing it I will give him an A+! |

| I'll have to wait until Lou Dobbs tells me what I should think. |

| Lou Dobbs has too white a teeth--I don't trust him
He won't like it --I don't listen to him
He only likes himself. I am sick of commentators. I will comment myself.
I am tired of people tellling me what to think.
I am a grouch--not at all opinionated either!
Who will argue with me?
Where is Harpe?

| Thanks ,Carol,
Looked great to me. The critics will pobably find somethng wrong however.
He will have walked to slowly to the podium or too rapidly. He will have shaken hands wrong.
His hair will be one strand off--something will be wrong. |

| Ah, Ha!
He supplied the number of Jews killed. He said six million. I have always heard that.
I knew Hitler was no good. |

| As one of the reporters commenting on it for the BBC said, "talk is one thing but it is what comes after this that will count." Or rather what action this leads to. Yes he condemed the settlments in the west bank but what is he really proposing to do to end them. What the Arab world want is peace as we do but not at the expense of fellow muslims. He has a hard road to traverse and a tougher bowl to fill. I don't envy him his task. |

| President Obama inspires me and gives me hope. Two things that have been missing from the presidency for a very long time. |

You're right. He has a tough road ahead. With all the peace initiatives, no one has succeeded. It sounds nice for one side to talk about peace when actions prove that all they want is more territory. It will take a firm hand to make it happen and that is politically hazardous as has been shown for past Presidents. With Obama's popularity, there is a chance. |

| But those wars were left to him, he didn't start them; instead he just have to clean up someone else's mess, so to speak. Though we must remember that one of those wars was not started by the US. At the same time we must not forget those that are in combat to protect the freedoms we take for granted. |

This is why I need Lou to explain it to me...lol I will explain it. He inherited that situation -- He did not create it. |

| I think Obama pointed out we need to recognize the difference between Muslims out to get us and Muslims who are also threatened by those Muslims out to get us, those who are not into women's rights, or women's education, or freedom.

| I think our President wrote most of that himself. It is a great and honorable speech. It needed said just that way. Love, Betty |
