Here is a poem I wrote for the families
who are waiting for the loved ones to
return from thier tours.
I wrote this that it might
be a encouragement
to the families who
are missing thier loved ones that may
be in Iraq, Afaghastan, or somewhere
where they are distant from one another.
My dad was in the military too, and my
brothers served in the Marines and Army
too. so, I too know how it feels to miss
them and lone for them.
I have started a poetry and devotional
book that soon will be published and
out too. The title of it will be,
" Eagle Encouragement Lifts You Up"
Families Are Heroes Too
Families are Heroes too
They hold the candle for you
With strength and honor
They make it through
Children missing mom's and dad's
They wait in faith to be glad
Watching the door for their surprise
With joy and excitement they wipe their eyes
Phone calls and letters in patience they wait
Hoping that thier families won't be late
Days and months will surely pass
We pray this war will soon be past
Guardian angels watching over them
When times get hard the light grows dim
Weeping may endure for the night
But joy will come at daylight
The Lord sees all the children down on their knees
Everynight in prayer he listens and sees
They pray, "Lord keep my mommy and daddy safe.
Please bring them home for your name's sake." Amen
Soon again thier families will meet
With open arms they wait to greet
Welcome Home Mom or Dad
You are here and we are glad
