| Don't worry, Joe, I'll be laying out the pictures and text to fit on a Kindle so templates won't be much use to me. |

| Joe, if you and Ann and I are the only contributors, then we have our work cut out! I'm happy to put together a small collection of recipes. |

| With five contributors and ten recipes each (they can be your favourite recipes from years ago; old recipes are not copyrighted), with accompanying photos to one of two of the recipes for each contributor, plus a short story of 250-500 words, I could stretch the book out to 100 pages.
About using old recipes: since ingredients and their quantities cannot be copyrighted, variations in how the ingredients are put together (omitting some, adding others) bring new ideas to old favourites e.g. ingredients for spaghetti sauce: chopped onion, garlic, tomatoes, salt, sugar, bay leaf, basil, black pepper. An additional ingredient might be white/red wine or a dash of Worcester sauce or throw in some extra herbs: parsley, thyme, oregano. Maybe the method you use is slightly different and easier to follow with just as good results. |

You have to type it down , photograph the process and then send it to Shelagh, very easy you canb have your husband pphotograph it step by step...You need more than one recipe, we have to make this a great book full of great food and make people drool over the photos...
Love Joe |

| Would offer to help, Alice, but haven't been feeling too well. There didn't seeem to be much interest from other members. I had held off putting mine together to see if that might change. I know what I want to do, and most of the basics are ready to put together when I start feeling more up to it. I want to do a short version of my Piney Woods Christmas, focusing on the cooking and the cooks, and some East Texas holiday recipes. I have posted many of them here - one thread or another, and have my own pictures; I just need to get them in a format Shelagh can use. Hopefully, if we can renew interest, we can still get it done. Maybe some of the newer members could get involved, and husbands - ask your wives, if you don't cook. |

| There's no hurry, Ann. When there's enough material to put together a book, I'll format it. If you, Joe and I are the only contributors, that's okay. If I can get my photos to the same standard as yours and Joe's, we should have the makings of an attractive book. You can check out the colour photos on the inside of the print book of Christmas Stories to get an idea of the quality of reproduction:

- Oh, good. I need to be in the section for the photo illiterate. Maybe there could be a section for quick recipes of only a limited number of ingredients. This is fun! We needed something to have fun with. Thank you. Hopefully lots of previous posters will join in. A cook book is a fun thing.
