| It would make me so happy if any of you would download one of the 5 free stories that are on Smashwords and write a little review. Please? They are all on this page at Smashwords. http://www.smashwords.com/books/category/861/newest/0

| Well, I submitted my review for The Old Oak Tree - twice. It apparently takes a bit of time for them to post, or, which is quite possible, I'm doing it wrong. Anyway, here is the review. We will see that it gets posted, one way or another: - Quote :
- The cool thing about Wooffer, or I should say one of the cool things about Wooffer because he’s a pretty cool dog, whatever he might be doing (I never read a tale about Wooffer and his woods that I didn’t like.) , is that he never gives in or up. In this one, “The Old Oak Tree,” Wooffer starts off having a bit of a down day. Which is okay. We all have them once in a while. It is what we do about those days that separates the dogs from the pups. Wooffer’s problem on this particular day is that he is having trouble making friends. But Wooffer, being the dog that he is, decides to do something about it. He comes upon a trio of very “pompous looking” squirrels. Another dog might be intimidated, but Wooffer realizes that squirrels are just like everybody else, so he asks them to help him do a very squirrel-like thing. You see, he knows that all of us, people, animals, whatever we are, we like to be appreciated for the things we do best. “The Old Oak Tree” lets us see how a real dog handles a few “gloomy thoughts.”
One of the things that Betty Fasig does well is to tell stories, and the story of Wooffer and the squirrels at the old oak tree is among her best. Be sure to include it in your collection of Tales from Wooffer’s Woods.

| OK, it's there now. I'm sure this one will show up shortly: - Quote :
- What would you do if you were a chameleon, and everything in your world was green? If you were Wooffer’s friend, Camille, you might find green a pretty boring thing to be. But, like Wooffer and all the other creatures who inhabit his woods, Camille has a way of making things happen. Be sure to read her story to find out what she and Woofer do to ease her boredom and help her to become something special.
Betty Fasig, the author of all of the Tales of Wooffer’s Woods, has a way of telling stories that appeals as much to adults as to children. All of the creatures in the community of these woods, in one way or another, through their actions and choices, help us to see how we can make our lives better by sharing, helping, and supporting one another, and Camille is no exception.

| If anyone doubts the power of the review, the stories that Ann reviewed have doubled in downloads in the last hour and Old Agnes, the first Tale of Wooffer's Woods has tripled. What a remarkable and beautiful thing is the review honestly given.
My face is in a cramp from smiling. Thank you Ann!
Love,

| Dear Alice, There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about you. You are the true hero here. All that life and living has come your way, you have faced with such bravery. You have dealt with more than anyone I know. You have such compassion, such hope, such a beautiful spirit. People complain about little things, like I do. (my dryer element today, always on a Sunday ) Taking the time to post for the Armadillo Story is typical of you. It was behind in the hits. I know your surgery will go well, and I hope you are good to go for a very long time. Love, Betty |

| 11/13/2011 5 ***** Star Review Larry , Curly and Moe By Betty Fasig In reading Larry, Curly and Moe, they maybe homely cats, to me they we're endearing. Wooffer is a champ and good hearted in loving all his animal friends and wanting to teach these three lazy cats on how to be a cat, Wooffer comes out on top as a great teacher. I would highly recommend this story for all children and adults alike to read, they always have a message to them. I give Betty Fasig 5 ***** . Cheers..Joe.. |

| Betty, I would love to participate, however at the moment I'm not home with my own PC and the notebook I'm using, as time permits, is not something I can count on.

| Dear Abe, Maybe when you get back to Germany. I have noticed that the stories that have reviews get more downloads. I was so pleased today to find that Kung-Fu Rabbit and Pogo Gets A Move On have both sold downloads. I get .77 cents a piece for each download at .99 cents. I am as proud of those few dollars as I have ever been of any money I have ever earned. Love, Betty |

| LOL! Betty, isn't it sad that so many disgruntled PA authors are missing out on such simple joy. Even sadder still is the certainty that making a great deal of money would not make them any happier.
I spent three hours this morning finding two qoutes for the sequel, Mr. Planemaker's Diving Machine. The first quote I found fitted perfectly but I couldn't find the source. Turns out it was misquoted as belonging to Henry David Thoreau. It took two hours to find the original quote. Although the book with the quote is listed on Amazon, it is no longer in print. It made me realise that the stuff we write will be just as difficult to find eventually. Far better to just enjoy the moment and treaure the small accomplishments; they mean so little in the scheme of things but so much in terms of personal achievement. |

| Dear Shelagh, I called my son, Jeff, today to tell him about Pogo's fame on Smashwords. Pogo is Wooffer's litter brother and sixteen years old, too. Jeff is as sappy about Pogo as I Wooffer. I did not get to talk to him, but I know he will be proud when he hears that Pogo's story is now etched for a little while on the memory of cyber space. You are right, the little bits make life the joy that it is. What kindness you have in your heart to understand all of that! Love, Betty |
