Crafty?

In addition to writing, are any of you working on other creative pursuits?

I'm learning how to knit (will probably be learning it forever), and bought a beading needle today so that I can add some beading and crystal trim to some of the knitting I have done (felted purses, cell phone covers and eyeglass cases). I really enjoy it when I have time to play, and will let some of my characters work on these endeavours too just to drive them batty.

What are you up to?

I love to knit, crochet and paint dishes.

When they get me adjusted properly, I will return to those activities.

I hope you are adjusted soon Alice. I love to see what people are working on and doing. I cheated and bought my granddaughter a pretty knitted cardigan when she was here to visit a few weeks ago - it was lovely, and way beyond my skill level. It would have probably taken me a month of Sundays, too.

Very nice cards, Shelagh and Joe.

I used to knit long ago. I crocheted a bed spread once. It took a long, long time and cured me of the urge to crochet ever again.

Now, I make little quilts when the inspiration hits me.

This is a picture of one I made for my daughter a couple of years ago. It is called Saturday Morning.

It's always so neat to see what everyone is up to! The cards are a great idea, and a great way to use all those photos we take. I too crocheted a bedspread, for my sister's birthday. Foolishly, I told her that I was making her a bedspread, and it was a good thing she is patient, because it was three birthdays before she actually received it. I kept telling her it would have been much easier if she had a much smaller bed. Or a birthday that wasn't in August - it's really hot to crochet in the middle of summer.
