Unfortunately not, Lin. I think they deliberately give you the run around to add more challenge to your hobby. I spent two hours last night grappling with a T-mount and got nowhere at all.. with prime focus. Now I am going to investigate the "afocal" method: That is gonna cost a fortune no doubt..and much frustrations in between. Then there are complications because each piece is specific to a make or model of the manufacturer... vs cost... vs avaialability...vs... so many other things.

Man, that's a drag. It just seems like the scope should function as the lens

LOL...A Ahad, when one is smart, things become more challenging. Ask a child...they seem to be able to figure these things out with ease.

Do they have adapters for cold cameras, Abdul? Could that adapt to accept you Canon body?

I have very little experience with astrophtography, least of all through telescopes. The furthest I went into it was when I photographed Mars back in 2003 during it's closest ever approach to the Earth: This was through a compact camera, hence the appaling resolution. http://www.astroscience.org/abdul-ahad/mars20032.htm I have since spent some time with a friend who is a professional astrophotographer when I went to Australia a few years ago. More recently I captured constellations in my garden under very poor light pollution conditions:

One other thing you might look into... I seem to remember way back when I was shooting that it was easier to find a microscope adapter than one for telescopes. Is there a microscope tube that might work with your telescope?

I appreciate you are trying to help. I don't want to confuse myself with fitting misroscope parts with telescope parts... and a Canon camera in the middle. That could throw me into some pickle!

| Astrophotography using microscope parts would be a separate science altogether, with its own sets of unsolvable complexities:

Why go into all this complication... when you can take virtual tours of the night sky from the comforts of your own computer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdAMeINAh8I&feature=related

LOL... I'm getting too old for this, Domenic. It's only a matter of time before I retire to a beach house on the Skeleton Coast... |
