| The U.S is trillions in debt and will maybe never recover and return to its thriving economy and status it once was. The fastest growing economy in the world is China and the only country likely to achieve the position of super power. Western economies will not disappear, but the U.S will no longer be the great super power in the future. This is due to their debt and shrinking economy. It used to be that the east needed the west, but now the U.S needs China much more than China needs the U.S. What do people think of China as the next super power and and how will the rest of the world react to this? |

| No argument from me. China is already a super power. The world will sit up and take notice when/if she decides to flex her muscle.
For children in school, they would be well advised to learn Chinese. |

| When our Chinese overlords start running the place -and that's down the road, they already hold most of our debt- we will see how much value most of the world places on our political correctness and diversity values. The EEO office is going to be the first thing to go. |

| Break relations with them? We've outsourced all our heavy industry to them, such as steel. Electronics, clothing, household goods, ditto. What will we have left? Crappy movies and manuals of diversity initiatives? |

| The U.S economy is in trouble and is needing assistance from China. Joe lol, breaking relations with China will not do the U.S or the world any good. Nuking them won't either lol. I also think the U.S would get hurt going against China, even in war as they have over focused themselves on Iraq. However, there are still many issues in China that the Chinese government must solve. But the decline in the U.S economy is not a small problem. There are even more car sales in China than the U.S. Of course, most people do not have cars in China. But just think of the future and potential growth for car sales in China. They have the largest market in the world. This is a main reason that China does not need the support of foreign markets, but it is other countries that need to break into the Chinese market. |

| Nuke them because they are powerful? With that philosophy we would have been nuked a long time ago. |

| Our documents express beliefs that all men (and women) are created equal. How about not just in our country, but globally? A large, large percent of the people of the world are just like us, trying to make a living, being healthy, loving our families, etc. We nuked Japan, and did it save lives or destroy those of innocent men, women and children?
No easy answers here.
Love, Carol |

| War solves nothing. But the Japanese had it coming. China and some countries in Asia are the centre focus of the world for business, trade and perhaps even political power. Western countries have been hurt badly by the global slowdown. China and some countries in Asia are not being affected by the recession as much as the countries in the west. In future, Asia will no longer be the cheap place to visit or to live. Living standards are rising and their economies are strong. The rise of Asia will continue and China will lead. There are many reasons for the focus on China. The great U.S and the U.K have amassed trillions of debt. They are at a disadvantage. The smart investment decisions of China and its people have built a solid foundation for their economy. Other countries in Asia have developed the same way. |

| The cycle of greatness fades. Consider the Roman Empire, the British Empire, the American Empire, and coming soon in a theater near you, the Chinese Empire. |

| yes empires do fade. But the current event is that China is the superpower of the 21st century. And because of the decline of the west, Asia is being placed even more in the spot light. Japan was once very strong. It now has no economic growth and has one of the highest suicide rates in the world, mainly of middle aged men. Russia has continued to have less world impact. |

| Some years back, I visited China. I was surprised to see that the place was not much different from home. It had everything, stores, good brands, that had established themselves there. Good shopping centres, restaurants and cinemas. I remember going to see an American movie at the cinema. It was dubbed in Chinese. The action in the movie made up for that. The city area was beautiful, large and new. It made the cities in the U.K look small, boring and tired. However, areas away from the city were less developed. But I could tell, that a middle class was emerging and not be only the rich and poor. At present, the transformation would be even greater. |
