| The new edition of my adventure novel "The Sun Singer" is now available on Kindle. The trade paperback version will follow soon. Here's my post about the novel and its Glacier Park Montana setting (including a picture of the valley where the novel unfolds):

The novel, which is about spiritual journeys, has been quite a journey itself. I wrote it in the 1980s, had an agent, fired the agent when she neglected the book, talked to mainstream publishers who said nobody will buy an adult novel with a fifteen-year-old protagonist, and ended up storing the manuscript in a file cabinet for 18 years.
Then, in 2001, I scanned in the old typewritten manuscript and began polishing it up again. Again, mainstream publishers balked at the age of my protagonist and told me they wouldn't publish it unless I either made him about ten years older or rewrote the novel in a true young adult style. I refused and they said goodbye and I brought it out via iUniverse in 2004.
Now, six years later, I'm pleased that Vanilla Heart Publishing is bringing out a second edition of the novel. Since the novel is set in Montana's Glacier National Park, I like the fact this edition is coming out during the park's centennial year.
And so, the journey continues. . .

| The Sun Singer is a contemporary mythic adventure inspired by the famous Sun Singer statue in Allerton Park at Monticello, Illinois and set in the mountains of Montana's Glacier National Park.
The statue brought Robert the gift of prophecy. At first, it was fun, but when it became deadly serious, he wanted to become normal again. But his avatar grandfather gave him a mysterious mission to complete. He soon learned he would need his abilities to tell friend from foe, complete a vision quest on a mountain peak, survive battles against an evil king, and discover himself and his destiny.

| It's an intriguing story, Malcolm. One of those that, once you start reading, you have to finish before you can focus on anything else.
