Winchester Writers' Conference

The Annual Winchester Writers' conference takes place from the 27 June to the 4th July and includes a book fair, mini courses as well as week long workshops.

That sounds like a terrific event, Jenny. One of these years ... Maybe when I win the lottery?

You and me both, Zada. I've been looking atthe programme. Unlike conferences on your side of the pond, here you can only attend one workshop during the whole conference. This makes the fee very expensive indeed. I attended a conference in Pittsburgh with a friend, we attended four workshops a day - which was great.

I checked out the program and it does look like a comprehensive conference - and some interesting people, too. If it's not luring you in Jenny, you'll just have to sell lots more books and come to North America again instead Cool

Hi Pam,

I'm hoping to get to the Romance Writers of America conference in S.F later this year. At least you have the opportunity to attend multiple workshops instead of just one! They even offer bursaries - which would mean I would only have to find the airfare, as I have a writer friend in the States who would come with me and share the accommodation costs. She used to live in S.F until a few years ago. I've been there a few times and know my way around, so no problem if we get bored and skip school!

Ah San Francisco is a great place to amuse yourself and also find great restaurants! I am sure you will have a blast no matter what!
