| Dear E. Don, I love your song. I also loved those mountains. Funny the way mountains affect a person and stay in their minds. Mountains come out in a person's dreams like swamps do. Where I live here, I can go out into the woods a good 500 feet and feel that the modern world never has existed. It is all sounds and drips and chirps of unseen creatures, rustle and molds, liverworts and vines, rotting wood, leaf mold layers thick. Varmit territory. When I lived in the shadow of the Superstition mountains, I was so unaware of life. I know that sounds a little bizzare. I think that my spirit can sit on a cliff in some remote mountain and look over a valley for miles and be at peace in the middle of the night. I could write poetry, then. In the day, I do not have a chance of that peace. Love, Betty |

| Love your words, Don!!! I could picture the scene unfolding like a movie before my eyes. |
