Immigrants returning to their country of origin Empty

With all the negativity surrounding immigrants to the US, I keep wondering why anyone would want to immigrate to a country where they are not welcome.  The inscription on the Statue of Liberty is no longer valid. I talked with people who lived in the US and later returned to their native land, their reasons were similar:  Lack of security in old age was at the top of the list.  When they reached a certain age, finding employment was difficult.  Employers want highly educated young people with experience.  It makes little sense in that young people don’t have much experience.  Young people will accept a lessor salary and the cost for insurance for the young is less.   Job security is also a factor.  While it is easy to fire a person in the US, some companies will also use downsizing as an excuse to lay off older workers.
The following is just one example: http://www.soc.duke.edu/GlobalEngineering/pdfs/media/americasloss/bw_whyskilled.pdf.
There are numerous posts on FB where US Citizens are considering leaving the US.  AIthough some are politically motivated, many involve security in old age with healthcare as the prime motivator.  The next consideration is language-related in that few Americans speak a second language .  Canada is a top choice where Americans would feel welcomed.  As for migrating to Europe, the UK is a prime choice for language.  There are those who don’t realize that there are other countries where English is also spoken, countries like Holland and Denmark who have universal health care programs.
For anyone considering such a move, I strongly recommend that they visit the country of choice and get a feel of the people as well as learning the requirements needed for resident status. I can't imagine anyone wanting to be where they are not welcome.

We had better hope our Immigrants don't become discouraged and  return  to their countries of origin.
We will be the losers big time.  Our country is  a melting pot. We must remember why we are here-- to
assimilate other races and cultures.
