PostSubject: The written word   Thu Oct 20, 2016 11:35 am

I read every night in bed.  Having just finished a book and with nothing new to read, I went to my library and grabbed a Don Stephens novel.  As previously mentioned I think he is/was a great writer and enjoy his books.  I started again with his first novel “Bear Killer”.   Things he wrote have helped me during my on-going recovery process, especially dealing with pain.  It has been said that what we say disappears, but what we write stays.  I find that to be true. Re-reading books has helped me discover things missed on the first reading.  As Authors, we seldom learn how something we wrote may have helped another person or provided new insights.   Although Don is no longer with us, I feel his spirit through his books.
