My E-Store for women thirty and older. Stuff you can't buy in brick and mortar stores. Most of the designs are from the 1940's with modern materials. At present I am only selling within the U.S.A because of shipping cost.(more times it higher than the cost of the item.)

Congratulations on your project.  Shipping costs are always a problem and many suppliers who sell by mail will show the price and then say: "Plus shipping and handling".  Some get away without stating what the S&H charges are.  The other thing is to give the buyer a choice of shipping method similar to what Amazon does.  I've know some suppliers who made their profit via the S&H charges.  Publish America charged high fees for S&H and often the shipping costs exceeded the cost of the books.

When the customer makes the choice of shipping method, it takes the supplier off the hook, provided that they are actual costs and not inflated charges, profit-related.

Yes, Abe, shipping cost is a problem. I have lowered the cost of my garments to offset shipping cost. I have tried to build my store so women can come in, look, relax, and not have to buy. I want them to enjoy the store.
The women on this forum should read my News Letter…I think they will like it.  Did you look at all the things I have listed on the site? I would like to hear what you guys think about the store?

Domenic, you misspelled the website address! Here's a link to the "About" page on your site:

Great commentary, Dom.  For me it was a trip down memory lane recalling those war years.
The biggest hit were the flour sacks.  My mother and grandmother made most of their clothes from those sacks.  The flowered ones were a hit.  Then came the dyes that provided colors to suit.
Everyone worked.  Pay was not an issue.  Families worked together.  Neighbors helped one another.  Today that would be called socialism.

Unfortunately, I could not view the clothing on your website.  I just got the intro, however I think you are on to something and wish you all the best with your entreprenurial endeavor.
