A new restaurant opened near me.  It's very small with three tables and a counter.  The dining area is surrounded by a hydroponic growing system with lettuce, cucumbers, peppers, heirloom tomatoes, and "micro greens" of every variety.

Tea, juice, salads and more are made fresh from the hydroponics growing in the oxygen rich room.  It's a bit surreal - but I was thinking about Betty's gardens and seems I remember them being hydroponic - unless I'm mistaken.

Maybe she could add a cafe to the vegetable stand like this one. That suggestion is along with the belief that her David will have the best physicians whose treatment plan will bring him health.

Most interesting, DK.  Creativity with good sense is still alive.

I love the idea, DK.  I wish we were in a town. (sometimes but not  often)   I will think about this and see if we can persuade someone to do it.

Our David is hanging in.  I have tried to be normal  I do believe is has helped him to go on and with the time, be as normal as he can be.  It is not easy to think of your condition all day and not try to figure a way out of it.  We are trying the Soda treatment to go with the chemo.  It breaks my heart, We have to have hope.  We have to believe that what little we can do may help the outcome.  Thank you to all who have suggestions.  I am so glad to know you all. Love, Betty

Do you have excellent physicians?  I believe that does make a difference.  I have had so many friends with cancer that are still here, still having treatments and still believing in their future as science progresses.  I know my friend found that someone bright and cheerful with her helped get through the chemo.  She has also changed her eating completely.  However, I believe you eat healthy with all your gardens.

Here is the website for the little restaurant here.  Maybe it will help you convince someone to set one up with you as the source...www.bbfarmmarket.com

Here is the facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/BarefootFarmMarket/?fref=ts

They just opened.  He was previously a health consultant and she is a nutritionist/dietician.  It's a tiny little cafe.  I don't know how they will make it with the rent they must pay.  He grows it all in the cafe. There's more garden than seating, but it is unique - and their soup was wonderful.  They get their eggs locally from a lady with chickens down the street from the cafe.

They sell the idea that picking the food right there and eating it has the most nutrients.  I must say, it sure looked green and inviting to eat.  The micro greens were amazing.

They also encourage take away from the hydroponic set up to the vegetables and herbs to the soup they make - as the eat in aspect is quite a small space.

Betty, thanks for the update on David.  Good suggestions from DK.  Having doctors one can trust goes a long way toward healing.  Drawing on faith and belief is powerful.  Refusing to give up hope makes a great difference with the healing process.  Some diversion, as suggested by DK and looking to the future is good therapy.
My thoughts are with you.
