We are so glad you have reached this milestone.

Abe, i don't do birthdays, but I hope you are feeling up to things at your Jack Benny year of 39.

Dom, I used that 39 thing for many years, but it doesn't work anymore. 
Thanks to you and Alice for your best wishes.  It was a good day.  My daughter Christine came to visit.  She and my wife took me to the Poseidon restuarant for a birthday lunch.  Christine drove since I would not have been capable of driving.  It was a big lunch.  The restuarant provide Schnapps before and after the meal.  Having wine with the meal placed me in a condition not safe to drive. 
Got phone calls from people in the village and some stopped by with gifts of wine and Sekt. I'm working on that and should last me through the weekend.
Congratulations on FB added to the good feeling for the day.  This morning I told my wife that for the next three weeks she can't boss me around since we are now the same age.  On February 4th she jumps ahead a year and then she can take over as the elder.  I have the advantage being a year younger in that I get to see what it will be like when I advance another year.
