Why are we worried about refugees?  Another mass shooting is underway.  Three nuts this time.  14 people dead, 14 injured, 3 shooters at large.

The shooters were: two men, one women. They have the women alive. and one man dead. They are still looking for the third shooter. It's not going to get better Alice. This is just the start of the world going crazy. Everything for the past ten years has been fitting into scripture. I don't know if the system will end in our life time, but it is close.
Scripture says it will get so bad, that is God did not jump in, no flesh would Survive. God won’t come until they say, “True peace, and security.” That will be said after the Anti-Christ (Satan) is in power. I know most people don't believe scripture...if they do or don't...it will happen.

I agree it will get worse.  After each mass shooting two things happen.  Gun sales increase while at the same time they talk about gun control, and then the cycle repeats itself.

Politicians will weight in on this and try to score points.  They won't offer any concrete proposals, but rather try to place blame.  Their first target will be the President.  When the President makes proposals, they will block it.  The "enemy within" is not something one wants to recognize.  Instead of working together for the "common good", partisan politics add fuel to the flames.  The media loves it.

Which indicates there was a motive. Soon, we will know what motivated a young couple with a six month old child to collect an arsenal of guns and bomb making equipment.

During WW2 the Japanese believed their Emperor was a God, and if they died fighting for their Emperor, they would go to Heaven.  The Muslims believe in their religion, and are commanded in their Quran, to subdue, or kill non-Muslims…if they die doing this, they go to heaven. Christian religions used to believe God was on their side…both the Germans, and  those countries fighting them, also believed God was on their side. Much of the Western world does not believe in God. But I tell you the truth, the war with terrorist is a religious war that has been going on some hundreds of years.
I have read the Quran, and have talked to many Muslims…the Quran quotes some scriptures in the scrolls, but gives no proof it is the word of God. The Bible does not match the scrolls. I have studied both the scrolls, and the bible which religions claim is a copy of the scrolls…it is not. Any one who has studied both the Quran, and the Bible can prove they are not the word of God.
I used to work for a very nice Muslim man. One day I found a note book in the back seat of one of the company cars. I read through it to see if I could find the name of the owner.
There were notes through out the note book…on one page was written, “Be prepared to die.” The owner said it was his 18 year old daughters book. A friend who is a Muslim that I have known for about ten years, knows very little about the Quran, but is 100% Muslim. I told him once, “Show me one piece of Proof the Quran is from God, and I will jump over your house in one leap. His faith is based on this alone, “It says this is the word of God.”
People will stop killing based on their religion only when it is proven to them their religion is false. After fifty years I have come to the conclusion, even with a mountain of proof, you can not change the minds of people when it comes to their religion. They are all false, and can be proven false.
I have been telling people for years, “All religions are false.” I tell people not to just read the scrolls, but prove if they are true, or false?
People won’t take the time. If the scrolls are true, it is the most important thing we can know. If the scrolls are not true, than it does not matter.
I have been on this forum for some time, and I have said many times, “Things are going to get very bad.” I have not been saying that because I have some magic power…I have proven the scrolls to be true, and they say what is going to take place. This world has seen nothing yet…it will get worse than the world has ever seen from the beginning. So bad, God says that unless he steps in, no flesh would survive. But there is good news stuck in their too.
We can’t change what is taking place, and it will get worse, much, much worse.

This article suggests that the true motive of Islamic State is greed; the terrorists want control over oil, money and land. Religious extremism is just a means of gaining that control:

Identifying Terrorists by their religion is now a common thing.  Many are pleased when they can say: “Muslim Terrorists.”   What about Christian terrorists or Jewish terrorists?  Terrorism occurs daily in Gaza by Jewish (Zionist) terrorists.  Most of what occurs is not reported and what is reported is slanted in favor of the “good” terrorists.

While attention is focused on California, there is a problem brewing between Russia and Turkey.  Yesterday Putin said of “Recep Tayyip Erdoğan” (President of Turkey) that Allah stole his mind.  It is reported that Erdogan has been selling oil to ISIS.  Blowing up the oil supplies was a target of Britain’s bombing assault on ISIS as they entered the conflict.

It appears that religion is at the root of conflicts world-wide.  We see the role religion is again playing in the race for President.  Quoting scriptures that support their cause is politics as usual.  To quote another scripture:  For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, but loses his soul? (Matthew 16:26).   Religions claim that there is but one God and the name for this one God can vary by language, i.e., “Allah” in Arabic.  If this “one God” is a person as perceived by many, one can only wonder how he must think when his children petition him to help them destroy the other.   God as a spiritual being wouldn’t fit into this scenario.

I have often been asked:  “What religion are you?”  When I respond:  “I have no religion” they will ask:  “Are you an Atheist?”  I am expected to respond.  My answer seems to baffle them when I say, “I am a Spiritualist that has no religions dogma.”  They feel compelled to ask:  “So you don’t believe in God?”  My response:  “I didn’t say that.  A spiritualist believes in a supreme being that one can call God, but doesn’t prescribe to any prescribed form of worship.”  To go further with an explanation can involve one in doing exactly what dogmas do and that is to try and convince someone that your belief is right and theirs is wrong.

Using the Bible, the Koran or other documents as the basis for ones beliefs is IMV, is the problem that continues to create strife that leads to wars.  Claiming to know the truth is the root cause.  There is no source document can be proven to be correct.  There may be elements of truth in any source document, but using it as infallible precludes reasonable discussion.

I have to agree with you to a great degree Abe…The books used for religions have been forged. The rules of religions are mostly man made, and have nothing to back them up.
Years ago I put everything aside, and pretended I did not believe in a God, or any religion. I wanted to find what I could without being pulled in one direction, or another.
I took the scrolls, which all religions stem from, science, and archeology, and used these as my tools of investigation. I put aside all theory, and personal wish list.

My investigation went subject by subject.  My list went like this:
1) Proven history of man. I wanted to divide this into two parts. The world has a pre-flood era, and an after flood era. Which means I had to use science, and archeology to answer the question, “Was there a world wide flood?” Note, no religious works of any sort were used to uncover flood facts…just science, and archeology. If the flood was true, or not, would also support an very old earth, or young earth.
2) I turned science, and archeology lose on the oldest known religious writings…the scrolls.
It is a true statement, “Both science, and archeology are divided into two different camps.”  This fact lengthened my search by many years. They both could not be right, so every step forward, was ten steps backward. There were many times I wanted to just put the whole mess aside, and just not believe in anything. I put my fact search aside for a time, and went on a people finding search, not to prove anything, but to try and understand what people were like if the whole mess were true? I started writing the Bible from a human point of view…changing scripture, and events to that of the scrolls. I made the people the same as you, me, and everybody else you would meet today. That gave a complete different picture of those in scripture. I kept switching from this to my real search for fact.
One thing became apparent…”The more you find, the more you find.” it is like the never ending story. One conclusion I have come to; I know there is a God. I also know if I lived forever, I would not even touch the surface of who, and what he is. At present, I live my life by what can, and can not be proven. I have to agree with you to a great degree Abe…The books used for religions have been forged. The rules of religions are mostly man made, and have nothing to back them up.

Domenic,  I respect your search for truth.  I also respect your conclusion.  I also believe in Eternal Life, however that doesn't necessarily mean in human form.
I suspect that everyone on this forum has reached a personal conclusion about life and the hereafter.  Whatever that is, it is as valid as any other.

No, Abe, the truth is the exact opposite: ISIS is selling oil to Turkey. The Turks shot down the Russian fighter plane because Russia had been targeting oil carriers transporting oil across the border from Syria into Turkey. The UK is targeting the oil fields to knock out this source of revenue, which is ISIS's third biggest way of raising funds. The primary source is from the banks they looted and took control of. The second biggest source is through extortion and taxation. You can read about how ISIS funds itself here:

I can't agree with this Abe. Yes everybody has their own conclusion, and they have a right to it...but, they all can't be right.
In truth, there is only one right, and many wrongs. What you are saying is what religions say. They all claim to be right, but they are all saying something different.

Look at it this way: All the people on this forum see you in their own way...are you Abe in all those different ways? You see yourself as nobody else does. So who is the real Abe? Would it be true to say Abe has to be as everybody else sees him?
I have been called a few things on this forum...am I those things I have been called? No. I will tell you who I am. I alone of all humans know me best. I know things about me no other human knows. I have know people for over fifty years. Do I really know them? I tell you the truth. Often I have said to a close friend, "I never knew you felt that way?"

Agree Domenic.  Many of our views are based on our life experience.  No two people have the same experience and even if they did, their take on it would not be the same.
If I were to try and convince you that the way I see things is correct, I would be no better than a preacher telling people what he/she thinks is right.  I can respect another's views, but that doesn't mean I agree with them.  People who have never traveled outside the country and some not even outside the State they live in often have profound views about the world.  Those who are well-traveled and have had exposure to a variety of cultures and religions find it difficult to have an intelligent conversation with people without that experience or exposure.
If someone is happy and content with their beliefs, let them be.  Pushing religious dogma or even democracy on another culture doesn't work.  Missionaries to Africa did more harm than good, IMV.  They caused discontent with people who were happy with their ways.  It is much like the old Indian who was told by a Priest that what he was doing was a sin and he wouldn't go to heaven, but would go to hell unless he was forgiven.  The Indian said, "What if I didn't know it was wrong?  Would I go to hell?"  The Priest said, "If you didn't know, then it would not be a sin."  The Indian replied, "so why then did you tell me?"
Seeking answers is a good thing.  Drawing conclusions is hazardous.  Our perception about what we see, hear or read can be construed differently from others.  "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

That's why there are classes of people.  It is hard to socialize with people out of your class.
It is hard for rich people to befriend the poor etc.

How do you go shopping with them when they have no money to spend?
How do you talk of a trip abroad when they have never been out of their backyard hardly?
