PostSubject: Classic Children's Books   Classic Children's Books EmptyThu Sep 03, 2015 3:33 pm

I am on a quest to read or re-read children's literature.  I am currently on Black Beauty. I would like suggestions for the reading. Please list suggestions, title and author.  I know that many of you have such books published.  Please list them as well as the one's you have read that made you happy.  It is an important request from me. Love, Betty

Wow, Shelagh listed them all.  What about Heidi and Little Women.  There's always Grimm's Fairy Tales too.  Of course, I love the Wooffer series too

Does anyone know the title of the book where an acorn dropped on the head of an animal character and proceeded on its way to tell the king that the sky was falling down?  Every animal they met joined them on their way to tell the king.

As for a list, I no longer remember titles.  Shelagh's list prompted some reminders.
I can think of a few not mentioned:
Little Red Riding Hood
The three bears.
The Christmas series:
The Night Before Christmas
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer.
Frosty the Snow man
