As previously mentioned, the Migration issue is a problem. Yesterday in Hungary thousands were kept at bay by the Hungarian police refusing to let them board trains. When reporters talked to the migrants they said they wanted to go to Germany. My guess is that word has spread that Germany provides good accomodation and other perks. I guess sometimes being charitable can be a liability. Today the Hungarians had the migrants board a train telling them that they were headed to Austria. Somewhere outside Budapest the train stopped and all passengers were chased off. The Hungarians had set up a camp for them. Today at the EU headquarters in Brussels, the President of Hungary blamed Germany. No one seems to know why unless it has to do with migrants wanting to go there and somehow Germany is to blame. Villages throughout Germany are taking in Migrants (Asylum seekers, Refugees whatever the label). In our small village we have twelve. In the large city of Luxembourg they have seven. I suppose Luxembourg is too busy with banking the money from companies who just have an address there for banking purposes having no physical business in Luxembourg. Some countries, including the UK, simply refuse admission. According to the news, migrants are blocked from going through the tunnel into England. Shelagh would know more about that. I'm not placing blame, just sharing what I hear on the news. In the meanwhile, the world looks on making ignorant comments. It is a dilemma. To allow migrants to enter the country means you take responsibility for them. If a country can refuse admission, they don't have the problem, however they are transferring the problem to someone else. Solving the problem at the source is the best solution. Syrian refugees as well as Palestinian refugees have overwhelmed Lebanon. I don't understand why other Arab countries aren't taking them. The cause of the Syrian refugees is with the government in Syria. The cause of the Palestinian refugees is with the government of Israel. As for Migrants/Asylum seekers from Africa, from what I hear, it is for economic reasons. I can't tell you more than you hear in the news. The only thing you don't hear in the news is the reaction by local inhabitants. With an estimated 800,000 migrants/refugees in Germany and counting, it is a problem.

Just to add to my previous post. Processing of the migrants/refugees is another problem as they come without any identity papers. Infiltration of terrorists is suspected and therefore processing will take much time. Some have good qualifications and would be suitable for jobs, however before that can happen they must first be registered and granted permission. In the meanwhile, some are resorting to burlary creating other problems. I don't forsee any easy or quick solution. It is disturbing to hear comments from countries who offer no financial help or a willingness to take any of the migrants. Sitting on the outside criticizing is business as usual.

Good question, Joe. I would like to see the media ask those questions. Foreign correspondents have much to report and could ask questions that other governments won't.
